Verizon's Dead End

"According to a New York Times story published Nov. 10, Verizon continues to bill residential and business customers for lines that have been out of service since the collapse of the World Trade Center."

This doesn't suprise me in the slightest. They're my ISP for DSL, and this is their modus operandi. Blame it on the client, try and shill the client for the $$$ until they prove that, yet again, it's Verizon's fuckup, and then backpedal, still protesting that they did the right thing.
