Had to drag myself out of bed this morning, went to sleep around 2AM. Clearing off Tivo is not a job, I need to remind myself of this. I watched The Biggest Loser, while having a late night snack of Lays Potato Chips. Yes, the irony is clear. I need to have some good quick food available and make sure I eat properly, even when the night gets disrupted with having to go off somewhere and do washing.
5280 feet per mile, i.e. 63,360 inches. My pedometer programmed pace is 20 inches a step, so a mile has 3168 steps in it for me.
4580 steps took me 34 minutes, i.e. 135 steps a minute. That seems like a lot, but I did a quick count, and I do around 300-400 steps in an average 3 minute pop song, which works.
A mile should take me around 23-25 minutes. I should be able to do that every day.
The two 5k (3.25 mile) charity walks should be doable, even if I don’t keep up that pace, in no more than 90 minutes each. Based on Saturday’s 3 mile walk, which wasn’t done at a fast clip for the whole time, 90 minutes is well doable.
